Frequently asked questions

  • You can book all appointments online (in-person office, home visits, and virtual visits) here

  • If you are coming in for an in-person pelvic PT evaluation, Dr. Jackie will spend time learning your story, and putting the pieces together on your symptoms. Through your story and my physical examination, I will identify the source of your symptoms along with the contributing factors so we can come up with a plan for you to overcome them.

You will be offered an internal pelvic floor exam (vaginal and/or rectal), but it is always optional. If you consent to an internal exam, Dr. Jackie will walk you through each step and you are allowed to stop at any point. A pelviic PT internal exam is very different from a gynecologic pelvic exam or pap semar.

Dr. Jackie may recommend doing external work only depending on your and what actions you can take now to overcome them.

At the end of your session, you will collaborate on a plan of care to help you achieve your goals efficiently.

You will walk away feeling validated, clear, and confident in a path forward.

  • When making an investment in your health, it's important to get the highest value that honors not only your financial investment, but your time and energy to get your desired result.

I do not accept insurance as an in-network provider- this allows me to provide the highest quality care individualized to you 1:1 for an hour every visit , that is not limited by the restraints insurance puts on your care. My clients pay up front and I can offer a superbill for you to submit to your insurance if you have out of network benefits available to you for PT.

This model of care very often saves my clients money (particularly those with high deductible plans), and it ALWAYS saves them time and energy - and gives the value you deserve in your healthcare - by getting you in sooner, seeing you individually, and coming up with a custom plan for you.

Many in-network PTs will have you visit 2-3x/week for 6-12 weeks, have shorter appointments, and/or see you alongside 2-3 other patients. Sometimes your out-of-pocket responsibility for a visit is comparable, and unfortunately many patients are surprised with extremely high bills later on. (eg - a patient thought she had only a $40 copay, but she was later charged an additional $285 for her initial visit)

That being said, I completely understand the financial restraints in considering making an investment in your health. If you’d like to chat more about how you can make the investment in pelvic PT work for you, please contact me and I’d be happy to discuss options with you!

I do offer payment plans and packages that save you up to $30-40 per session.

If you’ve looked through my website and KNOW this type of high-level care is for you, but you’re hesitant to invest, please contact me and we can chat through ways to make it work for you.

If you're not ready or able to make a financial commitment to your health goals, I'm committed to providing you tons of free content and resources via instagram, blogs, and my bi-weekly Juicy News email newsletter.

  • During an initial virtual pelvic PT evaluation,Dr. Jackie will spend time learning your story, and putting the pieces together on your symptoms. Through my experience, I am trained to identify clinical patterns and along with a physical movement examination, we will identify the root cause of your symptoms so that we can come up with a plan for you to overcome them.

During your session, Dr. Jackie may recommend exercises and self-care techniques, so make sure you are in comfortable clothes and have some room to move around.

The primary difference in virtual and in-person care, is that I cannot touch you or provide manual therapies or modalities like dry needling. In my extensive experience with virtual PT and coaching, I have developed substitutes for any manual treatments that my clients benefit from just as much . For most clients this is not a hindrance at all to their healing (just check out my google reviews!), and in many cases empowers them to own their healing process.

You will walk away feeling validated, clear, and confident in a path forward.

  • I recommend being in a private space since we may discuss sensitive topics, and wear comfortable clothes that you can move well in. Leggings or shorts and a tank top is a great option!

You may also want to have a yoga mat and any exercise equipment you have at home nearby.
